Through hundreds of individually folded modules, I build geometric paper relief sculptures that explore repetition, structure, light, and emotional resonance.
Rooted in modular origami, my practice has evolved into a wall-based sculptural language shaped by accumulation, rhythm, and spatial presence. Each work emerges through a personal vocabulary of recurring modular structures, where fragile paper becomes an architectural field activated by light and shadow.
Born in Venezuela and based between Costa Rica and Miami, my work is informed by nature, cosmology, memory, and the hidden structures that shape both physical and emotional experience.
After more than two decades of practice, folding has become both a technical discipline and a meditative process. A pivotal moment in my practice came after a hand injury and recovery process in 2019, when the act of folding became a deeper practice of attention and resilience.
My sculptures offer spaces of stillness and contemplation, where repetition becomes a way of building presence one fold at a time.
