Statement & Portfolio

My work explores how repetition generates structure.

Through the folding and assembly of hundreds of geometric units, I create sculptural compositions that emerge from a process of patience, accumulation, and sustained attention. What begins as a simple gesture repeated over time gradually develops into complex systems of rhythm, form, and architectural presence.

Working within the language of modular origami, I continuously explore new structural possibilities through variations in pattern, growth, color relationships, and compositional frameworks. Some works begin from a central point of expansion, while others emerge from diagonals, layered transitions, or evolving geometric arrangements. This ongoing investigation has led to the development of recurring signature patterns that connect the pieces as part of an expanding visual language.

I am interested in how geometry can function as an emotional language; how ordered systems are capable of holding memory, stillness, transformation, and human experience. Individually, each folded unit remains delicate, yet through collective assembly they become stable sculptural forms whose depth and structure are revealed through shifting light and shadow.

Rather than depicting a specific narrative, my sculptures invite contemplation. They offer a space where complexity and simplicity coexist, where fragility becomes resilience, and where repetition becomes a quiet path toward balance.

One fold at a time.
